Estimates are now Available in EQL API

EQL Global launches Estimates in the API Stockholm, 21 October 2026. EQL Global AB today announces that estimates are available in the EQL API. Clients – asset managers, banks, wealth managers and fintechs – can now retrieve analyst forecasts for companies in EQL's coverage through the same interface they already use for filings, transcripts, press releases and reported actuals. What are estimates? Estimates are analysts' forward-looking forecasts of a listed company's key metrics – revenue, operating profit, earnings per share and similar – for upcoming quarters and years. When several analysts' forecasts are aggregated, a consensus emerges: the market's collective expectation for the company. That expectation is what a company is measured against when it reports. A share rarely moves on whether profit rose or fell in absolute terms, but on whether the outcome was better or worse than the market had priced in. Estimates are therefore among the most requested data types in institutional research, and a prerequisite for everything from valuation models to systematic strategies. Why it matters for EQL Until now, EQL has delivered what has actually happened: what companies have reported, said and published. With estimates, we also deliver what the market expects to happen. Together, this gives the client the full picture in a single call – expectation and outcome side by side – which is precisely what institutional clients pay providers such as Bloomberg and FactSet for today. For EQL, the launch means three things: • A more complete product. The API is our largest revenue model, and estimates are the data type clients have most often requested as the next step. It raises the value of every existing contract and lowers the threshold for new ones. • Higher stickiness. When expectation and outcome come from the same source, EQL becomes harder to replace. Beat/miss analysis, revision trends and consensus comparisons are built directly into the client's own pipeline. • Same compliance posture. Estimates are delivered like all other data in EQL: within the EU, in line with MiFID II, DORA and GDPR, through a one-directional API where no client data leaves the client's environment. Availability Estimates are available to all API clients from today. Support in EQL Desktop and in EQL's MCP connector follows shortly. Documentation and sandbox keys are available via hello@eqlglobal.com.
